Chucker Golf is an outdoor game in which a Golf Ball s played from the tee, into the Chucker Hole* on a golf course, as defined in the Rules of Golf. The Chucker is a flexible rod with a cup at one end. The *Chucker Hole is an area 12” around the cup. A “Chuck”* is a stroke in the Game of Golf. Each “Chuck” is played placing a ball in the cup and Chucking the ball toward the target using an overhand motion as in a Tennis serve. When approaching the green, you may elect to switch to an underhand motion using the opposite hand as a “stop” which allows for an infinite number of lofts. You simply place the opposite hand (back of hand to target) and swing the Chucker in an underhand motion with the palm of the opposite hand stopping the forward motion of the Chucker, allowing the Ball to release to the target at varying degrees of loft angles. The angles are determined by the position of the opposite hand in relation to the cup end of the Chucker. The closer the opposite hand is to the cup, the lower the trajectory of the approach “chuck”. * NOTE: It is important to keep the opposite hand rigid as the Chucker strikes the palm of the hand to achieve best results. ** (A ball must leave the Chucker to count as a “Chuck”).
The initial Chuck on each hole is played from the Tee, defined as the area measuring up to 2 Chucker lengths behind the Tee Markers on each hole. Chucker Golf is played “Through the Green” in the same manner as the Game of Golf with a few exceptions. In Chucker Golf a player may pick up the Ball to place in the end of the Chucker for the next Chuck. The next Chuck must be played in the area the ball was found and may not be played from a position closer to the target. On the green; (a) outside flag pole length a player must Chuck, producing one of the following results, the ball comes to rest (a) within 8” of the cup is considered “holed”, (b) inside flag pole length but outside 12”, pick up the ball and add one, or (c) outside flagpole length, continue play.
